Purchased a ford 2006 f150 lariat harley davidson edition from a used car dealership took vehicle out for a test drive and noticed that it had a missfire, dealership promised to repair a coil which they believed was the issue i was sent to a repair facility which the dealership has all their vehicles serviced. after diagnosing the issue was told that three coils were bad and three spark plugs were broken off in the cylinder head which had to be removed to clen out and resurfaced along with the valves and pistons at a cost of $1,800.00 which my purchased warranty would not cover or the dealership would not cover either, so after reading numerous complaints on this issue listed on several complaint forums was wondering wheather this organization has taken up the issue with ford?

What a shocker, i go to the ford dealer for the 100k tune up for my f-150 king ranch original cost $450. almost two weeks later, truck still isn't finished cost is at $3, 500 still can go. they don't know yet until their finished putting everything back together. 7 of the 8 plugs broke, two would not come out. finally, they got one of the two out. the one is seized up pretty good. the had to take the head off and waiting on the outcome. i'm up in arms on what to do. i don't have an extra $3, 000 laying around to pay for this plus the price can still go up. how can they not tell you this up front and keep padding the price and not knowing what its going to cost until you pick your vehicle up. please contact me, i would like to file a suit against ford but need assistance. i talked to someone from fords front office about this issue. they are well aware of this matter. all they say is that its not under warranty and my vehicle is over the 100k max. come to find out, no matter what warranty you have, this particular issue has no warranty to begin with. all they would do is offer me the x plan on a new vehicle. now, why would i want to buy a new vehicle. i've been raised on ford vehicles my entire life. i must say this will be my last ford truck for sure. a friend of mine has a toyota truck and has over 200k miles. never has had a issue with anything. please advise on what to do, this needs to stop and ford needs to do something about this. but i have a feeling they won't or they would of done it already.

Purchased a ford 2006 f-150 4x4 so i could use it off road and through snow when necessary. tried to have chains put on it as chp requires and was told this vehicle will not take chains due to the configuration of the brake lines. was not told this up front when i purchased vehicle. why buy a 4x4 if you can't use it in inclement weather? ford does not seem to have a resolution for this problem

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f-150. while driving 40 mph, the contact heard a rattling noise underneath the vehicle. the dealer stated that the a/c compressor was separating. the dealer made the replacement, however, the noise continued. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to determine the cause of failure. in addition, the vehicle failed to start. as of september 24, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. the failure mileage was 495 and current mileage was 23,900.

The truck was delivered on 8/12 in late evening when it was cool, on the next day it was discovered that the air conditioning did not cool properly. it showed no colder than 60 degrees on max air in the left middle vent with all others closed and with 95 degrees outside temperature. when returned to the dealer on the next morning, the service order showed no trouble found. they do however show that refrigerant(r134) was added which is odd as there was no trouble found. later it was admitted to me that there is a problem with the air conditioning in these trucks, particularly the recirculation switch on the air control panel in the truck which does not stay engaged. it seems that you must re engage the switch each time the truck is started although this does not always work. this is dangerous if you are unfamiliar with the truck, as outside air is being brought in at all times thus keeping the defrost from working properly as well. foul air or road fumes coming into the truck to an un suspecting driver. i was told that ford is aware that it is a problem, but has to this date offered no solution. i believe based on the response from ford, that this has been a problem they are aware of on 2006 trucks and the public is un aware. *nm
