 Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f-150. while driving 50-70 mph, the steering wheel began to shake. the dealer recommended that the tires be replaced. the contact changed the tires, but the failure continued. he feels that the vehicle is very unsafe and difficult to drive. the current mileage was 29,190 and failure mileage was 23,000. updated 01/05/2009 lj the consumer stated over the past 5 months he has experienced an ongoing problem with a shaking and shimmy of the vehicle at speeds of 50 mph. the dealer replaced the front rotors which stopped the front of the vehicle from shaking. updated 01/05/09. *jb

 Moderate to severe wheel vibration in steering since 2006. it remains unrepaired after several attempts by the dealership where vehicle was purchased. i'm now being told to live with the shimmy and it should be expected. *tr

 My new f150 has a terrible shudder in the steering wheel for the first 10 miles after the car is started. if it is cold out, it is very difficult to control the vehicle above 50 mph. ford has replaced the tires, but they replaced them with the same pirellis and it did not help. *jb

 Dt*: the contact stated at various speeds, there was a whining noise under the driver side floor board. the noise sounded as though it was coming from the suspension. the dealership was unable to determine the problem.

 Dt*: the contact stated while driving 60 mph, there was a vibration within the suspension. the vehicle was seen by a dealer and the tires were balanced. afterwards, the vehicle continued to have a vibration. the service manager attributed the problem to the basic harmonics of the vehicle. a vibration analyzer was placed on the vehicle to record any suspension issues, but no vibrations were detected. updated 04/11/06. *jb

 Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle has several problems. while driving at no specific speed, the front end vibrated and rattled. the vehicle was taken to the local dealership for inspection. however, the problem could not be duplicated. the second problem occurred while entering a curve at 55mph, the right rear tire blew. the tire was not inspected for the cause of the failure although, the tire was replaced. the third problem is the cooling system bolts were loose. the vehicle was taken to the dealership for routine inspection and maintenance when the looseness of the bolts was discovered. the dealership tightened the bolts for repair.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2006 ford f-150. the contact had to have the front bearings and rotors replaced on both front wheels of the vehicle. this is the second time the contact had to have these replaced. the contact spoke with the manufacturer and was told there are no recalls on the bearing or rotors for this year model. the contact feels this is a safety issue, because the wheels were close to coming off when the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 136,000.rl

 Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f-150. while driving 70 mph, the contact drove over a series of bumps in the road and his vehicle began to jump and shake violently. as time progressed, he could drive 55 mph and ride over a pothole or even the slightest of bumps. as a result, the vehicle began to shake and vibrate similar to how a flat tire would feel. the dealer stated that he needed shocks and tires. after spending $1,600 dollars on what the dealer recommended, his vehicle is still vibrating and shaking uncontrollably. the current mileage is 41,132 and failure mileage was 10,000.

 2006 ford f-150. consumer writes in regards to rear end overhaul bearings repair *tgw the consumer stated the rear pinion seals were replaced two years ago. the consumer believed there was something wrong with the quality of work or there was a manufacturing defect. the dealer and ford have agreed to cut the bill in half to $650. *jb
