| 2007 ford f-150 4x4 had the 4x4 shift on the fly activate on hard pavement while merging onto highway while on the on ramp, car lurched forward and very loud bang almost like a gunshot happened at 50 miles an hour. caused the truck to swerve to the right onto shoulder narrowly missing the abutment . the cause is faulty vacuum actuators and shift motor. this happened repeatedly and was especially pronounced in right turns causing for imprecise turning and handling of the vehicle. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford f-150. the contact stated that the tires were becoming worn at a fast pace. the tread in the rear of the tire was lower than the tread in the front. the dealer stated that the tires were cupping and replaced the first set of tires that were worn. since then, the tires have become worn again. the contact took the vehicle to a mechanic who stated that the shocks were failing. the purchase date and tire information were unknown. the current mileage is 7,445 and failure mileage was 2,320. | |||

| I have a 2007 ford f150 4wd pickup truck. i have 22,000 miles on the truck and just had to replace both front upper ball joints. when i took it to the ford garage they indicated this is a common failure. my concern is that the failure mechanism if the upper ball joint fails is for the wheel to fold under the vehicle and potentially rupture the brake lines in the process. they indicated this failure would be worse while pulling a trailer. i contacted ford motor company and they offered no explaination or assistance as the truck is off warranty. | |||

| Excessive out-of-balance vibration with 20pirelli scorpion atr tires on 2007 f-150 fx4 4x4. have had tires wheels balanced- does no good. bought new tires and rims, still have same problem. ford service has added pinion angle shim kit- does not fix. service has replaced 1 original pirelli tire, and stated tire was out of round. they still believe tires problem, and supposed to meet w/ pirelli rep to have tires replaced, but have waited 2 1/2 weeks so far. the new toyo tires and rims were put back on, and still vibration. not as bad, but still vibrates at all speeds. there must be problem w/ front end or brakes, but ford service has not found yet. *tr | |||
