I returned my ford f-150 to the dealership for the third time to correct the problem with the brake pedal travelling past the accelerator pedal during normal braking. ford is not recognizing the problem and the dealership sales manager acknowledges he has replicated the problem intermittenly; however, because ford refuses to acknowledge the problem there is nothing they can do. i have seen this problem reported in other cases on the nhtsa website, and i believe it is time for nhtsa to investigate before deaths are reported from braking/accelerating through stop signs/lights and hitting or being hit by someone. i believe the problem is somehow also related to the front brake rotors warping within a short period of time (20k - 30k miles).

After replacing the front brake rotors and brake pads during 8/07/10 - 8/10/10 to try and alleviate a problem with the brake pedal travelling past the accelerator when braking (normal braking), i had to return to the dealership with the same problem. it is a safety issue as i cannot allow anyone else to drive the truck who is not familiar with the problem. the dealership kept the vehicle from 8/11/10 through 8/25/10 with the service manager driving it every day to and from work to see if the problem could be replicated. the service manager said he noticed the same problem with the brake pedal going past the accelerator with normal braking; however, did not happen everytime. i agreed with that. after the service manager called the factory representative to discuss the problem, the factory representative said there is not a known problem and the braking system was within specifications. i was told by my dealership that ford does not recognize the problem and they could not resolve the issue for me. it appears to be a design problem, as i drove several 2007 and 2008 f-150's that the dealership had on the lot. each one of them had the problem i noted above. the 2009 f-150 does not have the braking problem i found out when i test drove one. the service manager at my dealersip told me that the entire braking system was re-designed for the 2009 model year.

When applying the brake, the pedal travels below the accelerator causing the foot to press on the brake and accelerator at the same time. on multiple occasions, i have run through stop lights/signs trying to come to a stop, and on occasion have almost hit other vehicles. another time, i was behind the truck guiding someone in the truck while backing up. not being familiar with the truck, when the brake pedal travelled pase the accelerator, his foot caused both to be depressed at the same time almost running over me before jumping out of the way just in time. this continues to happen and related to the problem i believe is the front rotors keep warping. the rotors were replaced at this incident time because the ford dealership thought that might be the issue. it did not correct the issue and they only charged my half-price.

I have a 2007 f150 at the time of incident my family and i were in ct and were doing approximatley 45 mph on a highway. the truck began to buck violently and dropped to 20our with out a warning or lights. then it started to run normal then started the same thing all over 20 minutes later. come to find out that the spark plugs needs to be replaced. no garage will touch it due to fords poor design ford says it will cost approximately five hundred dollars plus due to the poor design the spark plugs can brake in the cylinder heads. they said it can be $50.00 per broken spark plug and possibly more if the plug cannot remove broken part. i should only pay for plugs not fords design floor which need to be recalled

Air vent adjustment failure, required replacement of plenum chamber. cause of this problem was the falure of the adhesive on two foam pieces attached to two air blend doors which jammed because the foam fell off and prevented the doors from moving. in order to repair the problem the entire dashboard needed to be removed at a cost of just under $1000. i have contacted ford for help in covering this expense and they have denied it since there is no recall notice outstanding. on line sites about this issue and the extensive repair cost are in the hundreds.

2007 ford f150 @54,000 miles rotors, brakes, top ball joints, bottom ball joints upper lever arm, and now my front breakes locked up lucky there was no accident , and several times i have pressed on gas and brake pedal at same time because they are so close together. both the locking up of the brakes and sudden acceleration are very dangerous. the mileage is 54,000 and have had all these problems. is ford not telling the cusumer of these dangerous problems

2007 ford f150 4x4 my wife cane home from work and said the rear end was making a sound i went out to look and found the rear housing had broke off at the housing bell and was resting on the axle. in all my life i have never seen this. all people i talk tohave never seen this. i do think this is a defect in the housing. just wanted to know if this has ever been reported before. if so can any thing be done about it. can ford be held responceable for it. thank god she was not in a wreak. pickup will only be four years old in dec.

Blowout of tire with 20,000 miles on vehicle and tire. started researching why a perfectly good tire would blow out and found an ongoing investigation concerning faulty valve stems. i had all my valve stems checked when getting the new tire installed and found a faulty valve stem on another tire. i spoke with 3 different people at ford who all said they were unaware of any faulty valve stems. i had to purchase a new tire and valve stems to correct the problem. *tr
