 While traveling at 40 mph, i accelerated to enter a highway, the engine accelerated and then bogged going into what is called limp mode. the engine began to shake and misfire causing my vehicle to decelerate rapidly. this action nearly caused a rear end collision with oncoming traffic. on march 26, 2012 i was traveling at 65 mph on interstate 95 when i attempted to accelerate to pass another vehicle. the engine immediately began bog and misfire causing the vehicle to decelerate rapidly. again, nearly causing a rear end collision. the vehicle has been taken back to ford for a diagnosis, ford engineers are apparently aware of this problem.

 Vehicle bogs while moderately accelerating onto the interstate while pulling a trailer with a load under 3,000 pounds. it seems as if the engine is stuck on the rev limiter. there is minimal power available and it is very dangerous. i did not buy a powerful truck in order to experience this.

 I have a 2011 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. i have had numerous rough 3-4 upshifts since the truck was new. brought the truck to dealer twice and was told they could not duplicate the rough shift. i have also had the engine stumble on me twice will trying to pass. i have read others are having similar problems and am hoping ford will have a fix before someone gets killed in a wreck.

 Driving on the interstate at 75 mph. i attempted to pass a car by giving the truck wide open throttle. the truck responded by down shifting several gears, and the rpm's increase to around 4000. once this happens, the engine starts to bog down/misfire and the truck will not accelerate. the check engine light starts to flash. i let off the gas and the truck continues to misfire for several more minutes before clearing up on its own. this has happened on 4 or 5 different occasions.

 Upon acceleration my truck shifted roughly sputtered and shut down, then the wrench showed up and i had to drift to side of road. this hashappened 3 times. they have done a computer update 1st time, no luck, replaced a loose pin,no luck, replaced computer , no luck, replaced crank shaft sensor, no luck. this is a serious safety event. two times my truck stalled and shut off while merging onto an extremely busy highway. i have children that ride in my truck and i do not feel safe. i have opened a case with ford but all they want to do is keep fixing it. 44,000 truck , transmission stinks and i want a refund. someone is going to be seriously hurt or die due to this problem.

 New 2011 ecoboost v-6 f150 super-crew auto 6 speed transmission with the engine in manual shift 1st gear cold engine the accelerator sticks at what ever rpm's you are running and will start going faster without foot on pedal i have had to date 10 run aways and ford won't or can't fix it. the only way to stop it is to slam on the brakes and turn key off.....if your in traffic it could cause a serious accident. it also may cause serious damage to transmission and engine...

 Trying to accelerate onto the highway the engine misfired, started with excessive vibration and started decelerating. the engine would not recover and had to coast to shoulder and turn off engine. during deceleration, tried to add throttle several times through all speed ranges, but vibration was excessive and no acceleration was achieved.

 From a dead stop i excelerated to turn into her driveway the engine hesitated and stumbled it sounded like you had thrown a handful of marbles inside the intake the engine made a funny noise then died after getting it restarted the check engine light came on upon returning the vehicle to the dealership i found out it had melted the intake manifold sensors and part of the throttle body away ford has no idea what caused this the truck is also been plagued with electrical problems. apparently it came real close to an engine fire the truck is still broke down at the dealership since august 5, 2011.
