 Power train had rear main seal failure around this date. power train has another failure and leak in september of the same year which ford will no longer fix. vehicle has less than 100,000 miles and only approx 81,000 when the power train began to have problems. this vehicle has several other issues which ford will not address. the customer assistance center and the company rep will only offer half off on repairs which they claim they are not responsable for and will not acknowlege the past or other current problems the vehilce is having.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f250 supercrew. the contact stated that the 4x4 high did not engage, the entire front end vibrated violently, and the 4x4 low was difficult to disengage. the vehicle was taken to a dealer five times, and the failure had not been diagnosed. the vehicle had not been repaired. the current mileage is 4,200 and failure mileage was 1,000.*ak

 Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford f 250. the transmission was slipping. also, the engine and the 3rd cylinder failed. the failure mileage was 28,000. the contact stated that due to the year of this vehicle the engine and transmission should be operating normally. the vehicle was repaired. the current mileage was 34,000. *ak

 I was coming back home from vaction in las vagas around just pass state line,when my ford f-250 hd 2006 went into 4x4 low all by it self.my speed was around 75 miles per hour when the truck went into 4x4 low by it self.if thier whould have been a cars behind me this would been a major crash.my speed went from 75 mph to 20 mph in about 10 -20 seconds,i heard something loud from my transmission and or engine.my truck is at the dealership,i got a call about my truck from the dealership the said the transfer case was bad on the 4x4 control and they were going to look at the transmission.*ak

 My f250 superduty truck at less than 6,000 miles started slipping gears between 1 and 2 when trying to get into oncoming traffic truck would stall. return to dealer they rebuilt transmission didn't fix problem! returned 4 more times still same problem. having to file a lemon lawsuit! *tr

 Dt*: the contact stated while driving 45 mph there is a vibration in the vehicle. the steering wheel does not vibrate however the trucks frame and body does. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs on 4 occasions. on the first occasion the left front tire was replaced and all tires were balanced. the second time the drive shaft was replaced. on the third visit all four tires were replaced. on the fourth occasion another drive shaft and pinion gear was replaced. the vehicle still has the same problem after all of the repair attempts. the contact believes the problem is with the automatic transmission torque converter. the manufacturer has been alerted.
