Tl* the contact owns a 2008 ford f250. the contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, the check the exhaust filtration system warning message appeared on the instrument panel and suddenly the engine stalled. the vehicle failed to restart was towed to a safer location where the battery was disconnected and reconnected. the vehicle was able to resume in operation. the vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who diagnose that the exhaust filtration system sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. there was a recall under nhtsa campaign id number 07v139000 (power train:automatic transmission:control module (tcm, pcm); however the vin was ineligible. the manufacturer was notified of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was 53,000. | |||

The rear u-joints on my 2008 ford superduty f250 truck has been replaced twice in less than 50,000 miles, once at 24,000 miles and again at 47,000 miles. ford has fixed the problem both time at no charge. but has not tried to determine the cause for this problem to prevent it from happening again at a increased rate. truck now has 51,652 miles on it. *tr | |||

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 ford f-250. while driving 10 mph on icy road conditions, the contact noticed that his four wheel drive would not engage on two different occasions. the risk of a crash was increased. the dealer stated that the vacuum hose for the four wheel drive was manufactured too short. therefore, when making sharp turns, the component would easily fail. the hose has been replaced twice at the cost of $56 per hose. the failure mileage was 40,000 and current mileage was 44,000. updated 3/24/09 *cn updated 03/27/09.*jb |
