I was driving home friday january8th at 7:30 pm when my spark plug blew out of motor while driving, shooting fuel out of cylinder as coil was still connected and arcing on motor.i lost power and had to get to side of road i could not fix because threads of cylinder head were damaged when blowout occurred.fortunatly this happened within a couple mile of my home, if this were to occur on highway with traffic around the loss of power and potential for fire would have been very dangerous! *tr

The cam positioning sensor in the ford power stroke 7.3l diesel has gone out at 60,000 miles. this caused the vehicle to completely shut down. this was not the only truck this has happened to. many people i know had this happen within the first 100,000 miles. ford repaired the cps for $400.00 at my expense. also the o ring in the high pressure oil pump went out at 71,000 miles with no warning, causing me to dump all of the oil out. i discovered it before it caused motor problems. ford fixed this problem for $500.00. both problems a were very common with the 7.3l and need to be addressed by ford. they were not ordinary problems and need some kind of attention from ford. *ak
