Tl-the contact owns a 2005 ford f-250 superduty. the contact stated when he shifted into cruise control at 70 mph, he then noticed that the speed was increasing. he attempted to deactivate the cruise control but the vehicle would not slow down. he also attempted to brake which had no effect on the speed. he then pulled to the side of the road and pumped the brakes until the vehicle slowed. he then shifted into park, shut the vehicle off and called the dealership. the service manager advised him to restart the vehicle and there were no problems. the failure occurred again. the vehicle was then taken to an authorized dealership but the dealer could find nothing wrong with the vehicle; there were no codes produced. the vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. the contact called the manufacturer who recorded the failure in their system. the current mileage was approximately 61,000. the failure mileage was approximately 31,000-bk

Dt*: the contact stated while driving at various speeds and through intersections the electronic throttle module malfunctions. after releasing the accelerator pedal the vehicle continues at the same speed or looses speed rapidly and stalls. the vehicle was taken to the dealership on four occasions. the dealer replaced the throttle assemble twice, but the problem continued. the vehicle is being taken back to the dealer a fifth time. updated 4/6/2006 - when the vehicle was taken back to the dealer they installed a flight recorder in the truck which captured three failures. the dealer has the recorder and now the consumer is waiting for them to provide a solution to the stalling problem. *nm

Dt: the contact owns a 2005 ford f250 super duty diesel. while passing another vehicle the vehicle's accelerator became stuck and a loud noise was heard from under the hood. the vehicle then suddenly stopped and then it stopped accelerating. while driving further, the consumer tried to speed up the vehicle to see if this would happen again and it did. it popped and then vehicle stopped accelerating. this would happen at speeds around 40-55 mph. the dealership checked the codes, but could not find any codes for the problem. the mechanic took it home over night and nothing happened while he was driving it. since they could not duplicate the problem they told the consumer to come and pick up the truck. *ak the consumers foot was not on the accelerator pedal. the consumer held down the brake pedal to try to hold the vehicle in place, the loud noise was heard. *sc the consumer experienced unwanted acceleration. *jb
