 Rear fuel tank strap that holds the fuel tank in position failed. in 2003 ford had a recall on this truck to install safety straps around the fuel tank in case there was a failure of the main straps. when the rear strap failed the safety strap failed and the only thing holding the tank in the truck was the fuel line. the tank was about 3/4 full if it had separated all together it would have been a disaster and probably a fire.

 Tl- the contact owns a 1999 ford f-350. the contact stated that while traveling 40 mph the steering failed on the vehicle. the contact ad come around a corner and thought the vehicle hit a bump when the steering failed. the contact was unable to steering the vehicle and it drifted into a snow bank. the vehicle was towed to a repair shop after the incident. the vehicle was inspected and it was found that the steering shaft had crystallized and broken off. the front right tie rod had broken in the accident. the failure mileage and current mileages were 145,000.rl

 1999 ford f-350. unit #1 was traveling westbound in the right hand lane on the ohio turnpike. unit #1 had a right tire blowout causing the drive lose control and strike the guardrail off the right side of the roadway. unit #1 came to a controlled stop after striking the guardrail. *ln

 I own a 1999 ford f-350 i parked in my drive way at 8 pm on janurary 1 and woke up at to a loud boom at 5 am in the morning . ford sent me a recall notice on december 30 was going to set a appointment on janurary 2 unfortunately the truck burned monday morning. also have a ford expedition looked up the vehicle identification number and it to has the same problem ford has yet to send me a recall notice. now arguing with insurance company they want to give me nothing for my truck.
