 Tl-the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle would either stall or decelerate to approximately 5 mph. the vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop where they were unable to diagnose the failure. an independent mechanic then examined the vehicle and noticed that there were silver flakes settling in the fuel filter. the independent repair shop was then notified and the contact was informed that the silver flakes were a result of the delamination of the fuel tank. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that diesel fuel was causing the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was unknown. sm.

 Tl* the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350 diesel. the contact was driving approximately 45 mph when the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle would not restart despite the attempts of the contact and was towed to an authorized dealer. the dealer advised that the fuel tank was delaminated and the interior paint had clogged the engine. the dealer replaced the fuel tank, fuel filters and several fuel injectors december 2007. the failure recurred march 2011 and the vehicle was towed to the dealer where the contact was advised that the fuel tank was rusted from the inside out and the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel injectors, and egr valve were replaced at a cost of $4,200. the contact then contacted the manufacturer and filed a complaint regarding the failure but no further assistance was offered. the failure mileage was 24,000 and the current mileage was 46,000.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350 diesel. while driving approximately 45 mph the vehicle stalled. he coasted to the side of the road. he made several attempts to restart the vehicle but the vehicle would not restart. the vehicle was towed to a authorized dealer. the dealer advised him that the gas tank de-laminated and the inside paint clogged up the engine. the dealer replaced the fuel tank, the fuel filters and some fuel injectors. the vehicle was repaired in december 2007. the contact stated march 2011, the failure happen again and the vehicle stalled and was towed to the dealer. the dealer advised him that the the gas tank had rusted from inside out. the dealer replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filers, erg valve and some fuel injectors the vehicle was repaired at a cost of $4,200. he contacted the manufacturer and file a complaint regarding the failure. the failure mileage was 24,000 and the current mileage was 46,000. vwb

 Tl*the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350. the contact was driving approximately 60 mph, the diesel engine overheated with smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. the vehicle was driven to the side of the road. the engine was turned off, and restarted after waiting until the engine cooled down. the vehicle resumed operation. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. the failure was contributed to the oil cooler and exhaust gas recirculation (egr). the vehicle was repaired. the mechanic advised replacement of the oil pump and fuel injectors. the failure mileage was 160,000. the current mileage was 160,200.

 The driver of the vehicle was driving on the road when it started to slow down and was losing power. the 2005 ford f350 diesel truck stalled in traffic and would not run. it was towed to a location where the fuel filters were changed. this did not correct the problem. it was towed to the ford dealer, who stated that the fuel tank had delaminated and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. ford claimed that bio diesel caused the problem. bio diesel is not sold in nj. the truck never goes out of state. the stalling in traffic is a safety hazard for all drivers. the truck is only 3 years old and has only 25,500 miles. *tr

 While pulling a 30 foot travel trailer tuck suddenly died causing immediate loss of steering and braking power on a very busy highway nearly causing an accident. had it towed to a diesel shop who scanned to find it to be the high pressure oil and fuel pumps. they said they have done repeated repairs on the same engine with the same problems in the past. very costly repair over $3000 and 5 days to do.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350. the contact stated the fuel tank on the vehicle is eroding. this causes the vehicle to loose power. this occurred without warning. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told the fuel tank will need to be replaced. the failure mileage and current mileages was 55000.rl

 Tl*- the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350. while driving at 25-30 mph the vehicle lost power. the contact had the vehicle towed to the dealership and the dealership remedied the issue by replacing the high pressure cup link on the injector activation system. the contact found numerous complaints online about the fuel system on this year make and model vehicle. the contact feels this was a major safety issue because the vehicle could crash into another vehicle if all the power is lost. the current mileage was 112,000 and failure 99,000.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350. the contact stated that the fuel injection module and relay switch failed. the vehicle would not drive more than 10 mph without black smoke coming from the exhaust. the contact repaired the vehicle. the vehicle had a high pressure oil leak, which led to the failure of the relay switch this repair was resolved under warranty. the fuel injectors were also faulty and were repaired under warranty three times. a mechanic stated that the failures would continue. . the contact is concerned about the safety of her vehicle. the current and failure mileages were 99,970.
