| Vehicle losses power and drops in fuel milage. i was informaed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced due to delamination. | |||

| I have a 2004 f350 diesel truck. as i was traveling on i75, the vehicle had a sudden loss of power and speed dropped to below 30 mph. this caused a problem as i was moving substantially slower than surrounding traffic which was a safety problem. examination of fuel tank by a repair person showed a delamination of the tank. i have had the tank cleaned out but will have to replace the tank. in researching the problem on the internet this seems to be a common problem with 2004 and 2005 ford trucks. | |||

| Tl* the contact owns a 2004 ford f-350 super duty. the contact was traveling 40 mph when the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and was able to restart the engine. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis and was informed that there was a loss of communication to the fuel injection control module. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 146,000. | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2004 ford f350. while parked the contact turned the key in the ignition and the vehicle would not start. the vehicle was towed to the dealer. the technicians stated the fuel injector control module needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and stated there was a recall on the 2004 ford f450 for the same failure but not for the f350. the nhtsa campaign id number for that recall was unavailable. the approximate failure mileage was 178,000. ds | |||
