| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f-350 sd. the contact stated while the vehicle was idle with pressure applied to the brake pedal the it lunged forward with a sudden increase in the rpms. in addition, an unexpected acceleration occurred when the vehicle was in motion. the failure occurred sporadically. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on numerous occasions for the similar failures. the technician stated the failure was contributed to the diesel fuel consumed in the vehicle. they also recommended the manifold and erg valve be replaced. after the erg valve was replaced the failure continued to occur. the manufacturer was not made aware of the acceleration defect. there were no additional repairs performed on the vehicle. the failure mileage was approximately 96,000. | |||

| Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford 350 super duty. the contact stated he was driving on the interstate at about 65 mph. he stated that when he approached where the bridge hits the highway, which was just a little pavement, he was unable to control the vehicle due to it's accelerating. the driver states he kept easing the brakes down to slow his truck down. the failure mileage was 72,000 and the current mileage was 73,566. the vin was not available. | |||

| When pulling a travel trailer with my 2006 f350 sd ford on cruise control at hwy speeds (70 mph) on a hill the truck will lose speed to 65-66 mph the torque converter unlocks and the vehicle will accelerate to 74-76 mph still on the hill. cresting the hill it will return to 70 mph. ford says this operation meets design specs. and will do nothing to fix my truck. i get strange looks from drivers trying to pass and my vehicle accelerates 4-6 mph over the speed limit.100 failures is a guess. *jb | |||
