Consumer states the vehicle is for plowing. however, the coil springs are not strong enough to hold the plow. the plow actually drops down hitting the ground; causing the steering to become erratic or difficult. *ak the transmission had gone out, the tires weren't sufficient enough for this vehicle, the gas gauge read empty at half full due to the low front end and the consumer was told that there was no problem, there was no light in the glove box, there were not mud guards in the wheel well, the volume was inoperative on the radio and there was a problem with the throttle cable due to a two second delay when the gas pedal was applied. *sc

My 2005 ford 350 4x4 cracked the trans case because or the low/reverse snap ring came loose & broke the trans case at 55000 mi. talked to ford about this & they said there is nothing they could do &there has not been a problem with this, but i found out that thay have had a problem & had a recall on this (recall #05b27). ford dealer said that this would cost me $4622.00. they fixed this problem i think in the 2006 models therefor they knew they had a problem. my warrentary ran out on this truck about 1 month ago.

About a mile after i turned off of hwy 101 onto hwy 166 going east while hauling my 32' toyhauler with my 2005 ford f350 superduty 4x4 drw crew cab truck when smoke started billowing out the rear of my truck, a friend that was following me thought my truck was on fire as fluid sprinkled on his windshield. i was not able to safely pull over for a couple of miles. when i stopped i found that my transmission fluid had spewed out onto the tail pipe of the truck that caused the smoke and all over the highway. i had the truck and trailer towed to santa maria ford and had to wait a day for them to open. when they inspected the transmission, the mechanic told me that the problem was a faulty retainer (snap) ring that came off (unseated) the low/reverse clutch that caused the crack in the transmission case. the mechanic told me there was a ford recall on this problem a few years earlier. he did not want me to mention that he told me anything to anyone at the ford dealership, because he was afraid of losing his job. i left the truck at the dealer because they said it needed a rebuilt transmission. when i returned home i researched the problem and found ford recall 05b27 that was exactly the problem that had occurred. the recall stated that you had to have a snowplow package installed on the truck to receive the recall. this truck did not have the snowplow package. but, it did have the exact transmission with the faulty snap ring that the trucks with the snowplow package had. it should not matter if my truck had a snowplow package or not. ford knew that my truck had the faulty part installed in the transmission and never sent me a recall. i could have had an accident or may have caused one, due to this (ford motor company known) faulty part cracking the transmission case and spewing transmission fluid all over the road. hwy 166 is a very winding road in areas and who knows if an accident may have happened due to the excess slippery fluid all over the road. my cost $4441.00. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 ford f-350 superduty. when the vehicle was placed into reverse, it would not back up. the vehicle was driven to the dealer and they stated that the reverse clutch retainer ring, the reverse piston retainer ring, the clutch housing, and the transmission case needed to be replaced. the failure mileage was 63,726.

08/2007 at 27,127 miles ford f350 superduty was taken in to dealer for repair due to the following: hesitation upon acceleration and transmission catching and loud bang, like it is jerking into gear. dealer repaired under warranty. 08/2008 at 36,800 miles (just out of warranty) taken in again for same problem and dealer want to charge us to replace transmission. the vehicle has never been used to pull trailers or heavy equipment so there is no reason for the transmission to be failing with so little mileage. *tr

Dt: the contact stated while making a right hand turn the vehicle hesitated. the transmission will catch, and there is a loud bang , and then the vehicle will lunge forward. when the vehicle is in reverse the transmission hesitates as well. it seems as though there may be something broken in the transmission or in the rear suspension. the dealership where the vehicle was purchased referred the contact to a local dealer to have the vehicle inspected. the vehicle was not inspected to determine the exact cause of the problem. *ak the consumer had difficulty placing the vehicle into park. updated 11/16/105. *jb

I have a ford f350 king ranch 2005 and it wobbles violently after hitting a bump or uneven patch. it does it above 40 mph. dealer had me purchase a stabilizer and they put it on- it helped but didn't solve it. i just drive the truck when i need. i took it in 6 months later and they said they must investigate by deduction. they wanted to charge me to first do a balance, then a wheel alignment. i told them no- it should be a recall. my fear is that the violent wobble will lead to other problems. help. *tr

I rented a truck from u-haul in elk grove, ca at 4:50pm on 8/28/08. once the vehicle was above 45mph it started to shake violently and once it was dark, the tail lights on the right side were shown to be non-functioning. the representative did not do a vehicle inspection with me, in fact, he took off before i even pulled out of the drive-way. i called the repair service because i felt the vehicle was unsafe and was told by the mechanic they sent out that the rear end was coming apart and that the power brake system had no power when i came to a complete stop. i informed u-haul and they insisted that i still drive the vehicle back to their facility. i refused, citing that it was unsafe and illegal to drive a vehicle without the working tail lights. they then charged my credit card for the rental and mileage even though the vehicle still sat in my drive-way without them knowing what that mileage would be. *tr
