While backing and applying brakes at the same time on a hill, you are not able to turn the steering wheel.also during a panic stop the steering wheel locks up,this is a very dangerous condition.dealer says this is normal for the ford superduty truck.i dont see how this can be normal if you cannot turn the sreering wheel while appling the brakes.*ak

Loss of steering would occur whenever brakes are applied, it forced vehicle to wander across the road; vehicle has been in and out of dealer shop on several occasion, and informed consumer that they cannot correct the problem. *ak consumer states the hydroboost system prohibits steering while braking in most hard braking/emergency situations, when full brakes are applied the steering system is rendered inoperable. *slc

I orderd my truck with 4 wheel abs-the dealer said it was standard equipment-the dealer paperwork from ford says it is standard equipment-when the truck came in the window sticker says it has it on the truck as standard equipment-it does not have 4 wheel abs. this is a safety problem for me because i orderd abs and the truck was designed for abs.( dot number: ? tire size: lt26575r16 )

Steering system: when vehicle is first started or drive on cold day there steering system is extremely difficult to turn. also when brake is applied steering wheel will stop at a half of a turn. excessive effort is required to turn. 2. brake rotors will sometimes vibrate when brake is applied. also anti-lock will turn on and drasticaly increase stopping distance. 3. transmission will sometimes not let me select first or second gear. vehicle must be in low or third, then shifted back into first to get going. *ak
