SEATS - FRONT ASSEMBLY - RECLINER

While stopped at a light, we were rear-ended by a 1984 chevrolet van. both parties in the truck were wearing a seatbelt at time of accident. both front 50/50 bench seat backs, only allowed to function lifting forward, collapsed backwards. this caused two passengers to fall backwards to the ext. cab portion of the truck, where normally our kids sit. at only 6'0 tall, my husband's head went through the back windshield of the truck causing neck and back injuries.

Due to design of clutch pedal assembly which is located under dash, clip on rod is held by brackets which are plastic, and they broke off, causing vehicle not to engage in gear, which may result in a crash. *ak the lever used to move the seat forward broke at 70,000 miles. the consumer states that the clutch slave, three alternators, power windows and heater had been replaced. *yh

Both sides of the front bench seat of this extended cab truck will not fold forward allowing passangers to get in or out of back seat. the levers have failed, leaving the front seat stuck. this is very dangerous! and anoying. *ak |
