| The right front side frame next to the control arm bracket has completely rusted through and broken in half rendering the vehicle undrivable. i have had the truck to the dealer (not the dearler where it was purchased in 1995) for inspection of the frame and it was determined that the frame is very thin and rusted about a foot on each side of the break. i have filed a complaint with ford and have talked with the service manager at progressive ford tom byers and also his ford rep nancy crowe and was told that the truck was too old and had too many miles on it and therefor ford would not repair it. i expressed my concern that i felt this was a safety issue as it involved the main structure of the vehicle and should not have broken as it has never been involved in an accident or been abused and was told by nancy that she didn't care as the original factory warrenty had long since expired. i stated that a truck frame should last more than 9 years without disintegrating and was again told there would be no compensation from ford on repairs or replacement and i was also told that the truck should not be driven. i believe i am not the only truck owner with this problem as i am being told by nancy crowe.*ak | |||
