Tl*the contact owns a 1994 ford f-150. the contact stated that the parking brake would not hold the vehicle, which causes it to roll freely. secondly, the bumper is abnormally loose and rattles. as a result, the bumper could separate from the vehicle. thirdly, the seat back reclines suddenly. lastly, the front driver's side air bag warning light consistently illuminates on the instrument panel. the light indicates a failure within the air bag system. the manufacturer would not assist with the repairs because the vin was excluded from nhtsa campaign id numbers 93v184000, 94v018000, 94v169001, and 96e010000. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 20,000 and current mileage was 100,009. updated 6/2/09 *cn updated 06/04/09.*jb

Front bumper bolts missing. found recall 94s79 which addresses this problem. lower right bumper retention clip is broken. contacted valley ford. oasis did not list active recall against my vehicle. no green paint on bumper to indicate factory correction. valley ford service manager (very nice lady) informed me that vehicle was not eligible for recall. she asked me what do you want me to do?. i told her never mind i'll fix it myself. checked on parts availability with parts department. parts available cost $1.03. parts man and i both comment on low cost. ford usually charges at least $3/bolt. my main concern is that oasis did not list this vehicle in recall even though the failure is exactly as detailed in the recall. *ak

The problem just cropped up without any unusal traffic or road conditions. i noticed that there was a grinding sound coming from my front suspension area. my mechanic looked for a damaged suspension component, but was unable to locate any damage. upon further investigation he identidied that the rivets attaching the cross member to the frame were not holding fast. the frame is moving when the truck turns and stops or starts motion. he contacted ford without any resolution. this will cost me approximately $500 to repair by drilling out the rivets and replacing with bolts. if you contact me i can give my mechanics name and number he is aware of other ford frame failures that he has repaired.
