| Truck was unstable with cause unknown by dealership. owner has taken vehicle in for corrective action several times, however nothing has changed. vehicle vibrates excessively when at idle with rpm gauge fluctuating up/down. *ak consumer states that the engine runs rough, oil level dropped and there was a clicking noise in which the dealer replaced the fan blade and fan clutch. rear brakes experienced grinding, dealer applied a silencer to the front and rear brake pads. consumer has experienced several problems with the a/c and heater, problems still exists. vehicle uses a lot of gas, idles rough and experiences small hesitation upon acceleration. vehicle kicks into gear. vehicle drifts to the right, while driving at higher speeds, vehicle and steering wheel vibrate. driver side rear view mirror rattles when closing door, when everything is closed there is an outside noise, dealer resealed the windshield. when turning on the lights, the clock and a/c are delayed. there is a whining noise when turning steering wheel. window control buttons stick at times, dealer replaced the window switch. *slc | |||

| I was driving through a residential neighborhood at approximately 25-30 mph when the right front wheel came off of my 1999 f-150, causing me to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a vehicale parked on the side of the street. the impact caused extensive damage to the vehicle i struck and severe damage to my truck and causing physical and emotional injury to myself.*ak | |||

| I collided with a smaller vehicle(chevrolet beretta) at a low speed. my wheel fell off and i ran over it. the reporting police officer shared my disbelief that this occurred with minimal damage from the collision to the other vehicle. i think that the wheel may have broken loose just prior to the actual collision. *ak | |||

| My husband, joe, was involved in an accident on 12/18/00. according to my husband everything happened so quickly but he claims the wheel (driver side) came off prior to hitting the other vehicle. the other vehicle sustained minimal damage. the wheel came off. the wheel came off at the shaft. nothing appears broken and the threads are not damaged (shaft). the wheel is still inflated, lug nuts and brake assembly still attached.*ak | |||

| I purchased a 1999 f150 on 5/9/00. i recently bought new tires for my truck and found out that one of the wheels was bent on the inside. the bend in the wheel was bad enough that the wheel could not be balanced properly and would wobble. i then proceded to put on my spare tire and noticed that the spare tire was a different size than what was on the truck when i purchased it. the size on the truck is 255/ 70r 16. manufacturer required size is 235/70r/16. i brought this problem to the selling dealer and set an appointment for them to take a look. i am asking for your help because i feel i have been taken advantage of and they will think i caused the problem. i did not cause this problem. this truck was sold to me in this condition. i just now found out i had this problem just because i wanted new tires before winter hits. any information you can give me will be very helpful. thank you very much. | |||

| Loose lug:nuts, resulting in the loss of a wheel. all wheels had loose lug nuts & have since discovered same condition. lug nuts on rear seem to be too short, they don't even have a full nut of thread on studs.*ak | |||

| Left front rim is showing signs of stress cracks on the inside. dealer and manufacturer have been notified. *ak consumer stated the dealer looked at the rim and stated there were no signs of pothole or curb damage, however the manufacturer stated there must have been some type of damage without even seeing the rim.*jb | |||
