Defect SummaryCertain cequent 90 degree 7-way right angle adaptors sold by distributors in tow packages for aftermarket sales to tow 5th wheel rv travel trailers. due to incorrect wiring of the harness, the trailer lights may not operate properly.
Consequence SummaryIf the trailer lights are not working properly, a vehicle crash can occur.
Corrective SummaryAll of the defective tow packages are still at the distributor level and have not been sold to any consumers.

Defect SummaryVehicle description: bi-fuel cng pickup trucks and bi-fuel cng vans, modified by cfi control systems, inc., fail to conform to the requirements of fmvss no. 303, fuel system integrity of compressed natural gas vehicles. the label affixed to the fuel filler door by the vehicle modifier contains the inspection date and expiration date of the cng tank. however, it does not contain the statement see instructions on the fuel container for inspection and service life.
Consequence SummaryThese vehicles do not comply with the requirements.
Corrective SummaryOwners will be provided a label with the required statement, along with instructions for affixing the label at the fuel filler door. owner notification began november 2, 2000. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact ford at 1-800-392-3673.

 Purchased my 2000 f-150 from gorno ford in trenton, mi with 30,000 miles on the odometer. in less than 2 years and less than 15, 000 miles the following malfunctions have occurred: front t-rod broke (replaced), front u-joints had to be replaced, parking brake froze up disabling entire system, all brake pads and rotors had to be replaced. this vehicle is not even at 50,000 miles yet.*ak

 Air conditioner system malfunctioned each season after first year of ownership. 8/9/01 o rings replaced, 3/20/02 replaced evap. coil, both under warranty. 4/25/03 compressor, accumulator etc. $730.00 worth of repair with warranty expired. contacted ford rep. and got discount.

 When trying to lower the radio using the volume knob, the volume actually went higher until it couldn't get any louder. i was attempting to answer my cell phone, and couldn't hear the person due to the volume of the radio. it simply wouldn't lower. i feel this is a safety concern worth fixing. *ph

 The metal cable holding the spare tire up broke causing the tire to fall off. had this happened on the highway and not a mall parking lot, considerable damage, if not loss of life could have been the result.
