The window regulators failed on 3 of the 4 windows on our 2004 ford f150 truck causing the windows to fall abruptly and drop down into the door panels. the windows no longer stay up at all and there is no way to prop them up internally. the windows now leak when it rains. you cannot go over a pothole, bump or even go the speed limit on the highway without the windows falling down again.

I have a 2004 ford f150. i have had to repair all four of the power windows. the windows would just slide down into the door frame. all four times the ford dealer had to replace the power window regulater. now i see from the internet i am not alone. could you please look into this issue and maybe make ford recall the truck and fix this issue and reimburse people like me who had to pay to fix the windows. i am sure this will happen again.

Ford f150 crew cab. at 45,000 miles the f/drivers side window regulator failed. replaced under warranty. at 76.000 miles f/passenger side window regulator failed. replaced out of warranty. at 95,000 miles r/passenger window regulator has failed. has not been to the dealer for the latest failure. i do not know what the cost will be or when the r/ drivers side will fail. neither of the rear windows have been used more than 50 times during my ownership of the vehicle, which i bought new. it seems to me that from what i have read from others and my own problems that there is a defect that ford should be responsible for. it appears they are unwilling to face up to their responsibility.

Power windows breaking driver window made a loud pop and window fell inside door. 1 week later the same thing happened on passenger side after window started to make a grinding noise. the two rear windows are now making the same grinding noise.have not repaired yet because it cost to much to fix

Power window regulator failure on both driver and passanger side windows of 2004 ford 150 super cab. a total of 3 failures have occured in the past 2 years (2 driver side and 1 passanger side). the two most recent failures occured this month within 3 days of each other. the window fails without warning and falls down inside of the door. this can be a problem if the failure occurs during inclimate weather. in order to make the window stay up, the door has to be disassembled and something placed in the door to hold the window up until parts can be ordered and installed. i have used a 2 x 4 and zip ties as a temporary fix to hold the window up inside the the door until parts are obtained and the repairs made. my temporary fix keeps the window up, but there is no way to let the window down in the event of an emergency. but having the window stuck in the up position is much better than leaving the window down and risking damage to the interior from weather or theft.

2004 f100 4dr defective windows. all three windows have fallen down into the door in the past 3 year. ford dealership quoted us each window would cost $500 per door. at this point we have place a bar in the window to keep them closed.

I own a 2004 f150 super crew truck and i have had to replace the regulators in three of my windows because they are defective and they almost made me wreck my truct because two of them fell in heavy traffic and sounded like someone had shot it out and i know it is just a matter of time before the fourth one falls, ford needs to have a recall and repair and replace those regulators before lives are lost and the cost to replace the regulators is outrageous.i would not recommend anyone to purchase a ford f-150 because you don't stand behind work.please recall these trucks and replace these faulty regulators for the safety of our families and repair the good name ford use to have with its customers.

My 2004 ford f150 has had both rear window regulators fail within 30 days. the first failed on its own. like others, i walked up to my truck and found the window down on the first failure. the second broke yesterday when i attempted to lower the window. i am a loyal ford customer. i am 44 years old and between me, my wife , and child, we have owned a total of 14 ford products. i am very concerned with the amount of complaints i am seeing with this product. if ford does not make this right by conducting a recall, they will be losing many very loyal customers.

All 4 window regulators have failed on my 2004 ford f150 when trying to raise or lower the power window. first one occurred in 2006, 2nd in 2007, 3rd in 2009 and 4th early in 2010. have fixed the first two at a cost of approximately $600. the ford dealer gave me an estimate of $750 to fix the two that are broken now.

Power window assembly cable came loose after plastic pulley broke, window fell down on both the rear drivers side and the rear passenger side

I have a 2004 ford f-150 supercrew 2wd truck. i was driving down the road the other day and tried to put my driver side window down. when i pressed the power button the window made a loud grinding sound then the window itself fell down into the door. i was unable to get it back up and had to leave it down for 4 days before i had time to take the side panel off and see that the factory power window regulator cables had become tangled inside its pulley. i did a search online and found that im not the only one who has had this problem. after seeing well over 1000 complaints on this same problem i decided to file my own complaint, hoping that ford does a recall so this doesnt happen to anyone else.

The brake pedal in our 04 f150 was not depressed and our 5 year-old hit the shift and the truck went into reverse at a high speed. the truck is supposed to be equipped with a brake-shift interlocking feature that did not work. the truck is severely damaged, there was property damage, i called ford and they are not accepting any responsibility for this and said that our insurance paid 900. so they will not fix the problem or repair the damaged vehicle.

 1) unknown events leading to failure, normal driving, events happened when i first turned on vehicle and during backing up .2) the engine raced out of control and lurched until ignition key was removed (it grabs the gas pedal from the driver like cruise control does) if someone or something is in vehicle's path it or they will be crashed into. then the vehicle and 8 cylinder runs like its on 4 cyl and the air conditioner doesn't work. 3) taken to ford dealer coastal ford in mobile al,they rebooted computer but would not replace computer board, they said just bring it back for reboot if it happens again, diagnostic did not reveal reason for racing engine they were not concerned that if the events happened again an accident could not be prevented or the truck being destroyed which means it could not be taken back for reboot or how to prevent this event .i wanted them to replace the supposedly defective computer board (in my opinion that's the problem) old part still in vehicle .no damages yet but since i professionally bass fish, i could be run over, the truck might race into the water,or someone else and their equipment could be run over and if backing into the garage with a boat the house and boat could be damaged or if the boat trailer has to be dealt with the person behind the truck could be run over. 2004 f150 extended cab v8 engine truck is the vehicle. 6 events over the last 4 months (it just came out of some of its warranties, ford dealer said the computer was warranted for 8 more years)*jb
