| 2000 ford f-250 having cruise control problems was parked with engine off when fire ignited and burned resulting in total loss of truck. fire dept. report states fire originated in engine compartment and was electrical. truck sold for junk metal prior to announcement of 2000 ford f-150 truck and other recall for defective cruise control resulting in fire. ford declines assistance since they do not have vehicle to examine inspite of reports and witnesses to the event.*ak | |||

| While vehicle was parked for about 4 hours it suddenly caught on fire. the fire department notified the owner that vehicle was on fire , and that it spread to two other vehicles. owner notified the manufacturer, who said they would send out an investigator to evaluate the situation. as of today, the manufacturer had done nothing. *ak | |||
