 Tl*- the contact stated that the first time he noticed a problem with his 2000 f250 truck, was when he hit his brakes and the pedal went to the floor. the contact stated that he turned off vehicle and call the dealership. the dealership ask that he bring vehicle in. once the dealership looked at vehicle they said that his brake line had rusted out. the contact said that he asked mechanic why this happened and he was told that it was because of the vehicle sitting for a period of time. contact stated that he only drives this vehicle once a week because it uses diesel fuel. and during the summer he drives vehicle more. contact stated that he does use the truck to tow his 5th wheel camper during the summer. the repair was done and contact does have repair order.

 Dt: the consumer stated the brake line failed and rusted in two. the other two lines were like brand new. the one that was rusted must be made out of different material. the vehicle failed on the highway while driving at 55 mph. the brakes just completely failed. this happened on 9-17-05. the dealer said that there was nothing they could do about it. the manufacturer said the same thing. the consumer reported no problems prior to this. *ak (11/17/05) *sc
