99 f-250 diesel stalls on freeway. replaced the recalled cam shaft sensor but still stalls. i was told that the accelerator position sensor could be the problem and many other consumers are having the same problem. the cam shaft sensor was recalled due to stalling and causing possible injury accidents and this should be recalled for the same reason. my family is in danger while driving this truck. ford knows about this problem and said there is nothing they can do about it. i suppose they are waiting for enough people to die from this problem for it to be resolved. i wonder how many have died from this problem and were not able to tell what happened due to their deaths. *tr

My 99 f250 sd diesel with a 7.3 engine eats cam shaft sensors, i am on my 5th one now, everytime i complain to ford about it they say it is just my trucks thing this thing as they like to call it is very dangerous the truck just stops, it doesn't matter where, how fast anything and it can not be determined until the sensor fails completely as i have had it checked (for $100.00) at the dealership when it starts showing symptoms and no codes ever show up i called ford canada and complained last year when the 5th one was put in and was told they are unaware of any such problems. my truck has a kentucky truck plant sticker on the windshield i don't know if this is a common denominator or not but it is scary to drive as you never know when it is going to happen. if it were to happen while towing my horse trailer (which is why we bought the truck) the consequences could be horrific as it is hard enough to control the truck at slow speeds when it stop without warning let alone at highway speeds with a fully loaded horse trailer. *nm

The emergency brake cable was routed incorrectly, which caused it to rub against the left rear tire, and becoming completely exposed. dealer diagnosed the retainer bracket was not installed and corrected. dealer service dept. then routed cable under the left rear leaf spring which was rubbing the cable again, and caused exposure.*ak *ts. the fuel gauge sender was replaced. *jb |
