SEAT BELTS - FRONT - BUCKLE ASSEMBLY

Driver's side safety belt intermittently releases and retracts automatically. i have had the problem since i purchased the vehicle new from the dealer. at first i assumed that i had not properly seated the male end into the female end. eventually, i developed a habit of seating the buckle and then tugging firmly on the belt to ensure that it was securely connected. the problem has persisted and upon bringing the vehicle in for repair, i have found that the warrantee is expired and i will have to pay for a new seat belt from the same company that sold me a faulty one in the first place. i believe that this is a safety issue and ford is apparently not concerned about the safety of their vehicles in this case. i have had the truck for three and a half years and have under 70000 miles on it. i have never had a vehicle that had this problem, nor have i heard of seat belt latching mechanisms wearing out.
