Tl*the contact owns a 2002 ford f-250. while driving 70 mph, the contact noticed from the rear that the vehicle had a leak. within seconds, he noticed smoke coming from a vent and underneath the hood. he pulled over and had the passenger check under the vehicle, where he noticed dripping. the passenger proceeded to remove the contact from the vehicle because he was in a wheel chair. seconds later, the vehicle caught fire. a fire report was filed. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer twice to have the vin checked for nhtsa campaign id number 07v336000 (vehicle speed control), but the dealer stated that the vin was excluded from the recall. the vehicle was towed to a tow yard and the insurance company will have someone inspect the vehicle; however, they were unsure if the cause of the fire will be investigated. the current and failure mileages were 85,000. | |||

The power steering fluid was leaking from underneath the vehicle while parked. the vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the consumer that the metal line that went to the power steering pump and to the braking assist motor erupted, and needed to be replaced. *ak there was brake pulsation, the accelerator pedal was faulty, the steering was hard to turn during normal maneuvers, when the 4 x 4 was high off the road, the wheel turned and locked to the stopper, lunged, and the rear wheels spun around. *sc | |||

From a stand still when pulling into traffic accelerator cable disengaged from the engine. consumer pressed the gas pedal and engine was running, but there was no response. vehicle was taken to the dealer, but dealer would not repair it because they could not duplicate the problem. *ak |
