Tl*the contact owns a 2003 ford f250 superduty. while attempting to decelerate with the brakes engaged, the contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning. he was able to shift the vehicle into neutral when he noticed that the engine made a roaring noise. he turned the vehicle off, restarted it and it performed normally. the contact did not inform the dealer or manufacturer nor was the failure diagnosed or the vehicle repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 116,000. | |||

Tl- the contact owns a 2003 ford f250 superduty. while attempting to decelerate with the brakes pressed, the contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning. he was able to shift the vehicle into netural when he noticed that the engine started roaring. he turned the vehicle off and the restarted it again and it performed normal. the contact did not inform the dealer or manufacturer nor was the vehicle diagnosed or repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 116,000. bw | |||

Intermittently while driving at any speed and without any warning vehicle suddenly accelerated. also, had brake problems. dealership inspected vehicle several times, but could not duplicate or correct the problem. *ak erratic acceleration and surging, oil on bell housing and smoking. vehicle acts like it doesn't know when to accelerate or shift gears. consumer met with an engineer from ford and said that they're aware of the problem, and informed the consumer that they're working on a new software to remedy the problem. when vehicle made another sudden acceleration, dealer said that it was the egr valve and oil was coming from the cam position sensor. cam sensor and egr valve were replaced. however, vehicle still posses problem with acceleration on vehicle. *la | |||

Ford f250 6.0 liter diesel increases rpms without pressing accellerator. while at a stop light or stop sign, with transmission in drive and foot on brake, vehicle lunges forward, sometimes as much as 12 to 24 inches. vehicle has been serviced by ford certified technicians without resolution. 2 sensors replaced and computer reprogrammed during all 3 visits.*ak | |||

Ford superduty 250 truck with 7.3 engine has no accelerator pedal response. pedal assembly has been replaced twice within less than 1200 miles. this has happened as we were trying to go across busy intersection and in heavy traffic. the experience is quite unsettling to driver plus occupants.*ak | |||
