The vehicle is a 2004 ford f-250 super duty i stepped on my brakes and heard a pop. the pedal went to the floor. when i got the vehicle stopped, and investigated, i found that one of the two bolts that mount the master cylinder had broken off. this left the master cylinder hanging by one bent bolt and the brakes were not functioning. very scary. low grade bolts? i am the original owner of the truck. here is an internet posting of other people having similar problems. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/690350-broken-master-cylinder-bolts.html i don't have my vin with me here at work, i can give this to you in a following email if you like. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2004 f-250 super duty diesel. the vehicle stalled and accelerated while sitting at a stop sign. when approaching a stop sign and applying the brakes the vehicle continued to move forward. a few days ago the contact attempted to stop the vehicle while a pedestrian was walking in front of it and the vehicle failed to stop. the failure mileage was 20,000. this failure occurred daily. the weather was not a factor. one month after purchasing the vehicle he noticed vibration on the front end of the vehicle. the contact received a second opinion from a dealer, and they informed him that the fuel injection needed to be replaced. the repairs were performed at no cost to the contact due to the warranty. the current vehicle mileage was 51,000. *ak
