Doors on 2004 crewcab f250 lariat 4x4 are squeaking, loose, and very noisy when driving. problem was brought to the attention of several ford dealers in nj area, one of which even replaced the latch on passenger side front door with no effect. (dealer even damaged truck several times while attempting to fix a separate, but related problem-window air leak.) truck has had this problem since new and i have had no satisfaction from any dealer service department. i have owned three new ford trucks and this is by far the poorest quality. reference nhtsa item number: 10004948 service bulletin number: 17307, dated oct 1, 2003. *ak

Dt*: the contact stated while leaning on the tailgate to raise the cap door, the tailgate came open. the truck was parked on an incline and the lumber in the truck came crashing out onto the consumer's right foot spraining it. prior to the failure the tailgate made rattling sounds while driving at any speed. the police were not contacted and the manufacturer has not been alerted. updated 5/10/2006 - *nm
