 I was driving approximately 45 miles per hour on the highway. i had the rear driver side tire blow out on the highway. this occurred without any warning of imminent failure. the tires had approx 40,000 miles on them and are the original tires supplied with the vehicle. it is a 2004 ford f-250 lariat diesel extended cab. the vehicle has approx. 40,000 miles on the odometer. i purchased it used in december of 2008 and was not informed of any recalls. i believe these are defective tires. splits are evident in at least one more tire. bf goodrich tires. my vin is [xxx] . i have changed all four tires and retain possession of all the remnants collected from the roadway. i also retain possession of the original spare tire supplied with the vehicle. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
