 The fuel injector pump for my 1994 ford f350 pickup truck has failed for the ofurth time in four years. the engine is a navistar 7.3 liter turbo diesel. i have researched the issue on the internet and found that this engine has a problem with the tolerances for the cam, whch damages the pump.*ak

 Third time problem accurred/repaired in last 11 months. ford acknowledges problem with bracket assembly to which tensioner pulley is attached; also notes belt length has been changed to a longer version. inspite of acknowledgement, ford will not cover all costs associated with recurring repair, either current or past. net cost of previous repairs: approx. $600; both failed at under approx 6 months, both with approx 15k miles. current repair cost: $approx $850. safety concern: when pulley fails, belt is thrown resulting in no power steering, brakes, etc. there is no warning signs and potentially dangerous if occurs in high speed situtation. *ak
