Defect Summary | The wire harness for the power lumbar feature on the seat is underneath the front seat cushion support wires. the support wires on the driver seat can contact and damage the insulation harness resulting in a high resistance electrical short through the support wires. | |||||||||||||||
Consequence Summary | Consequence of defect: over heating of the support wires could result, and melting, smoke, or possible igntion of the surrounding materials could occur. | |||||||||||||||
Corrective Summary | Dealers will inspect the seats on the affected vehicles. if no damage is found, the driver seat wire harness will be covered with a protective convolute tubing, wrapped with electrical tape and the harness will be rerouted. if damage is found, the wire harness will be replaced. | |||||||||||||||

When driving along at a speed of 55 the vehicle started to make a noise and then there was a vibration, the abs brakes just don't seem to work. *ak brakes chatter and have a front end rumble, consumer feels abs is not synchronized to grab both brakes at the same time, brake cable continues to rub on the left rear shock, dealer stated asbestos lining is not used anymore due to environmental hazards, causing rotors to glaze. front bumper can not withstand a 2.5 collision. driver's seat lumbar support does not hold air pressure, passenger seat squeaks after being serviced three times. poor gas mileage and high idle, consumer states while filling fuel tank, the nozzle would click off several times before tank was full. windshiled wipers would skip and chatter while in use. *slc |
