| Tl*the contact owns a 2000 ford f550. the contact stated that the material in the fuel tank has detached from the inner structure of the tank. the material was in the fuel injector and caused the vehicle to stall and shuts off intermittently while driving 65 mph. the contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer to replace the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel sender, fuel filters, and the fuel injectors. the repairs have remedied the failure. the contact stated that the vehicle could have caused a crash while stalling. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 98,450. | |||

| Vehicle shut off while driving 11,425 miles 6/17/02 warranty replace fuel pump. 6/28/02 stalled on freeway 11,698 local deal gaudin ford pulled diesel fuel tank found coating inside fuel tank pealing off pluging system they would not warranty the job saying its a fuel problem .we use biodiesel as an alternat fuel in the valey for the last 2 years ford motor company reps say they do not stand behind biodiesel it voids warranty. is this true? our is it possiple a defect in the coating in the tank i have never noticed a coating inside a diesal fuel tank before.*ak | |||

| Vehicle would not go more than 5 mph going up a hill, vehicle was taken in to be inspected for this problem and after various diagnosis and attempted repairs it was finally discovered that manufacturer installed a gasoline pump in the truck instead of a diesel fuel pump, consumer also experienced another problem while driving, the truck stalled and fuel and oil spilled on the road and then consumer saw smoke coming from engine, consumer is requesting reimbursement for truck rentals. *jb | |||
