Defect SummaryCertain cequent 90 degree 7-way right angle adaptors sold by distributors in tow packages for aftermarket sales to tow 5th wheel rv travel trailers. due to incorrect wiring of the harness, the trailer lights may not operate properly.
Consequence SummaryIf the trailer lights are not working properly, a vehicle crash can occur.
Corrective SummaryAll of the defective tow packages are still at the distributor level and have not been sold to any consumers.

Defect SummaryFord is recalling certain model year 2011 ranger trucks built from january 25, 2011, through april 25, 2011 at the twin cities assembly plant, and service parts distributed to dealers for certain 2004 through 2011 model year ranger trucks, 2002 through 2005 model year excursion vehicles, and 2002 through 2007 model year f-250, f-350, f-450, and f-550 trucks for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. the multi-function switch was shipped with a subcomponent (slider) that may experience deformation. a multi-function switch with a deformed slider may malfunction causing the turn signal, tail lights, hazard warning signal flashers and/or brake lights not to activate.
Consequence SummaryNon-functioning lights could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the switches free of charge. the safety recall is expected to begin on or about august 15, 2011. owners may contact ford motor company customer relationship center at 1-866-436-7332.

 Tl. the contact owns a 2006 f-550. the contact stated while driving 45 mph the vehicle began to stall and shake as if the vehicle ran out of fuel. the contact pulled to the side of the road and the vehicle suddenly shut off. the fuel gauge was reading a half tank of fuel. the contact restarted the vehicle and started and shut off. the contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer. the dealer has not performed a diagnostic test at this time. previously the contact has had the fuel tank replaced three times and stated there is a issue with the fuel tank itself that the manufacturer is ignoring. the contact stated this is a safety issue that the manufacturer needs to address. the failure mileage was 48,318 . jo

 2006 ford f550 with 33,000 miles diesel fuel tank delamination. clogged up fuel system and was not covered under warranty by ford. $2200 to fix so far as long as the injectors are ok. if not $5000 to fix. and who is to say i wont have this problem again. *tr

 Our ford lcf has had a continual stalling problem when we drive out on the highway. our vehicle is now three years old and everytime we go out of town we have stalling problems with the vehicle. the dealer has replaced injectors and other fuel components but nothing directly related to this problem. the last time the dealer changed the oil saying that was the problem. we had about 3000 miles since the last change. *tr

 Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f550 superduty diesel truck. the contact stated that his vehicle was running roughly and was difficult to start. the dealer suggested that the primary fuel filter was clogged with rust because the fuel tank was laminated with rust inside. the dealer wants to remove the tank from the vehicle so that it can be realigned and installed again. the contact would have to pay $650 for this service. the vehicle is still under warranty, but the dealer does not want to repair the vehicle under the warranty. the manufacturer is ignoring the contact. the failure mileage was 22,000.
