| Whenever it rains, the rear doors fill up with water.you can only get so much water out so it probably is forming mold and rusting the car door from the inside. this has been going on for the last couple years whenever it rains or the car is washed in the carwash | |||

| We have a 2006 ford 500 which had the cvt transmission replaced after 4 weeks. the transmission continues to have a significant delay in engaging in reverse. my wife and daughter did not wait until the transmission engaged and have on occasion lurched backwards almost running over her little brother. with the front of the car on a decline the car will roll forward when in reverse until it engages and the user depresses the throttle. olathe ford and a factory rep. inspected the vehicle and supposedly the vehicle is within specs. i don't think so, the car also whines when turning corners. i think the cvt transmission is out of specs. ford doesn't use it anymore, nor do i want to. i have had many fords, this will be my last if this isn't resolved to my satisfaction. the car also has the instrument cluster which intermittently goes out, windshield leaks water and air. answer soon, i am going to bbb, nhtsa and kansas consumer protection. this car is a lemon, i want a working one. *tr | |||

| 2006 ford five hundred with poorly designed front end. consumer states that vehicle front end is low enough that it scrapes driveways and curbs. *nj when the consumer slowly drove up the driveway, where there was slightly more than a normal incline, the front end scraped the driveway and tore the right side inner wheel well and mud flap completely out of the wheel well and the vehicle veered to the right out of control. there was no body damage to the vehicle. *jb | |||

| I have a 2006 ford 500 that has a very bad glare on the windshield. when i inquires about the problem, i was told there was 3 such complaints made at that same dealership. i was also told there was nothing that could be done, it was caused by the way the glass was made. *nm | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated while driving 65mph and a semi truck drives past, the hood will raise a fourth of an inch. wind comes through the radiator and raises the hood. upon inspection the dealer agreed the problem occurs, but was unable to create a remedy. | |||

| Upon starting the vehicle this morning (first sub-freezing day here and first time the car had not been garaged), the driver door did not latch. repeated attempts to secure the door both from inside and outside the vehicle failed. i held the door closed for a 10-minute drive and partially through the trip it partially latched and by the time i arrived at my destination the door latched and locked. this is similar to an existing recall for 2005 ford five hundreds (id #06v383000) but in speaking with ford owner services i am told the recall has not extended to 2006 model year five hundreds. i believe it is a situation to be investigated as a safety hazard. *tr | |||
