I purchased the vehicle new. it was repaired on three separate occassions for problems stemming from the windshield sensor as well as the molding was not correctly put on the door. now the bench seat will not fold down. this appears to be a very apparant issue with this model according to this website http://www.fordflex.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5363 the car is three years old and has 59k miles on it but for a family with one child, this mechanism should not be dysfunctional. its not as if it was getting a lot wear and tear from accessing the 3rd row seating area. is ford reviewing these complaints? *tr

2009 ford flex hood out of alignment, middle seat are electronic and would fold down. but when took to dealer they worked. headliner is held on by magnets. this is in the one that has the sky lights in all three rows of seats. ford told the dealer to put vecro to hold it up. by the way they have now had the car two days. pick it up drove home still snap, took it back, they called and said vecro did not hold either. so now i have a rental car. this car was a demo with 5,000 miles on it. my wife and i put 200 on and discovered this issue. other than the head liner, this is a very sweet ca very roomy. lets hope dealership can fix the issue. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2009 ford flex. the contact stated that he had a leaking vista roof and the dealer does not know how to repair the problem. the vehicle was taken to the dealer twice for the repair and the roof continued to leak. the ford manufacturer was not called. the failure mileage was 8,000.
STRUCTURE - BODY - TAILGATE - HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS

I have a ford flex limited 2009, the tailgate closes by touching a button. when closing it beeps. if it hits something it is suppose to open back up. similar to a garage door. my 7 year old child didn't realize it was closing and was struck by the door, pushing her to the ground causing a bump on her head. meanwhile, the tailgate never stopped closing. i stood under it with my hands over my head pushed the button to see how much pressure it takes to activate the safety. the amount of pressure was amazing, if my 3 year old had gotten inbetween the tailgate closing and the bumper it would of done some major damage to him. it should have a more sensitive safety mechanism. *tr
