 Dt*: the contact stated while sitting inside the vehicle, a toxic vapor was released. the contact assumed this was part of materials being used when the dashboard and side panels were manufactured. as a result of the vapor, the contact has a headache, sore throat and allergies; although the contact was placed on antibiotics from the family doctor the sore throat still persisted. the dealer was notified of the problem. updated 3/22/2006 - *nm

 For the 3rd time a rear door lock on my ford focus has failed. twice on right once on left. the lock jams. cannot lock. but a danger to a child in the car as you cannot open the door from the inside. nor can you secure the car from car jackers since it will not lock,. *tr

 Tl- the contact owns a 2006 ford focus. the contact stated that while trying to open the passenger side rear door it seized. the contact was able to open the door from the inside. the contact was able to drive to their destination. the vehicle was not taken to a mechanic. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted about the issue and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number 05v030000 (latches/locks/linkages: doors: latch). the failure mileage was 190,250 and the current mileage was 191,080. pmb

 Dt*: the contact stated while accelerating 5 mph from a stop sign on normal road conditions, a vehicle traveling 35 mph impacted the contact's vehicle on the driver side front fender. the vehicle was towed to a yard who deemed the vehicle was totaled. the other vehicle incurred slight damages. the contact sustained minor injuries. the contact expressed that the vehicle must be a safety hazard if the vehicle's parts would be scatter all over the road after an impact of low speed. a police report was taken.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford focus. the contact stated that the bracket in the front of the vehicle came apart. the dealer stated that the contact must have hit something in order for it to come apart. as of october 9, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. the current mileage was 9,800 and the failure mileage was 9,750.
