| Tl- the contact owns a 2009 ford focus. the driver was traveling 80 mph and crashed into another vehicle. the front passenger side air bag failed to deploy. both the driver and the passenger were killed. the vehicle was not taken to a mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. the manufacturer was contacted about the issue. the failure and current mileage was unavailable. the vin was unavailable. kmj | |||

| Problem failure of front airbags to deploy. our 2009 ford focus was rear ended while stopped in traffic by a pt cruiser traveling approx. 35-40 mph. the impact pushed the focus into the auto in front smashing the focus front end. the focus was like an accordian smashed on both ends and had to be put on a tow truck flatbed as it was not driveable. the concern here is the airbags in the front did not deploy. the focus had 44,000 miles and was maintained by a ford dealership in northern virginia. ford has not been responsive as my questions are met with requests for excessive documentation. my only concern is why did the airbags not deploy and is this unique to the focus we owned or is it a broader problem with ford focus design. | |||

| 2009 ford focus. consumer states problem with ticking noise *tgw the consumer stated there were engine/exhaust noise emitting from the vehicle after it was turned off. according to the dealer, some ford vehicle may exhibit a ticking/pinging noise from the hot exhaust after the engine is turned off and the exhaust cools down, which is due to the exhaust system expanding and contracting during heating and cooling cycles. the ticking/pinging should be considered normal. the brake fluid light illuminated and it was determined the fluid was low. the tires were found to be out of round, the air bag light illuminated. the tpms light illuminated due to low pressure in one of the tires. it was determined that one of the tires had a leak. *jb | |||

| Tl. the contact owns a 2009 ford focus. the contact stated while driving 40 mph the contact crashed into another vehicle. during the crash the contact suffered a fraction neck, back, and rib. the front driver side air bag did not deploy but the front side air bag did deploy. the contact was taken to the hospital. the contact has not called the manufacturer nor the dealer. the contact stated if the front driver side air bag would have deploy injuries could have been avoided. failure mileage is unknown. vin is unvailable. jo | |||

| I was involved in an accident in which i was rear ended by a vehicle traveling 45 mph which in turn caused me to slam into the vehicle in front of me. as a result of the accident, the drivers seat i was sitting on was bent and moved back. the air bag device under the seat was detached and damaged as a result of the accident. the accident was severe enough it should have deployed when i hit the car in front of me. when i questioned the dealership they stated it is normal for this to happen to the seat and for airbags not to deploy. | |||

| Was hit in front end doing 8.000.00 worth of damage. airbags never went off. took to bob thibodeau and questioned air bags as to why and they explained to me, black box would explain. left at bob thibodeau for repairs to body and two weeks later, i called to see what the hold up was, they explained to me my car caught fire while being welded on. bob thibodeau settled only for the cost of my loan, with no explanation about airbags. furthermore, numerous contacts were made with ford motor company and no response from them regarding these tactics | |||
