| Defect Summary | Ford is recalling certain model year 2012 focus vehicles manufactured from august 1, 2010, through october 18, 2011. a seal in the wiring harness connector to the passenger side wiper motor may be missing. | |||||||||||||||
| Consequence Summary | Water or other contaminants may accumulate in the connector, resulting in an intermittent or inoperative passenger side wiper motor, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. | |||||||||||||||
| Corrective Summary | Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and as necessary, clean and properly seal the passenger side wiper motor connector. any inoperative wiper motors will be replaced. this service will be provided free of charge. the safety recall began on may 21, 2012. owners may contact the ford motor company customer relationship center at 1-866-436-7332. | |||||||||||||||

| My back windshield imploded when i got into my car and closed the door. i leased this car on aug 30, 2011 and the mileage is about 7000 miles. ford said they would not warrenty this replacement glass as there were external causes. i have a witness that states when i closed the door, the back windshield turned grey, and imploded. according to my warranty, p.13, this should be covered in first 12 months/12,000 miles, no matter the reason. the car was parked in a lot, no indication of anything untoward happening to it. | |||
