| 2006 ford fusion passenger seat belt locked and would not release. the fasten seat belt warning kept alarming but the seat belt was buckled and locked. my husband put pressure by pulling on it and it released on its own. it work for 2 days then locked again and we can not get it open | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford fusion. while driving at an unknown speed, the contact noticed that the seat belt warning light would sporadically illuminate on the instrument control panel for approximately five to ten minutes. one month later, the seat belt warning light dimmed while all the passengers were properly restrained in their seat belts. when the front passenger attempted to exit the vehicle, the seat belt locked and prevented the passenger from exiting. the contact drove to a local police station and an officer removed the seat belt panel to free the passenger from the seat. the dealer informed the contact that he would have to repair the seat belt system at his own expense because it was not covered by the factory warranty. the current and failure mileages were 4,997. | |||
