Airbag light stays on for the driver's side; sometimes i can get it to turn off if i restart the car. not sure what would happen with the indicator light on; afraid that the airbag may deploy. electrical: two things with the electrical. the first is the compass error. this actually occurred january 2012 (don't remember the mileage). i was parked in a parking lot and turned my vehicle on to have it warm up while i was cleaning the snow off of the car. since it didn't affect how the car handled, i didn't have it looked at. the second issue occurred 11/10/12 which was the driver's door lock would not disengage (mileage was approximately 73,350). i was parked to get out to gas up my car and pulled on the driver's door handle to unlocked the car, it wouldn't open. then i pushed the unlock button of the door and the driver's door still would not open. i ended up crawling over to the passenger's door to exit the vehicle. i attempted to enter the car using the door key and it did not disengage the lock. i am taking the vehicle into the ford dealer on monday 11/11/12 to have these problems resolved. please let me know if i need to do anything. thank you. *tr

The airbag is sticking out of the dashboard and ford doesn't want to do anything about it. i believe that being this is safety concern and should be covered by ford. i have contacted them because we have a concern that the airbag will fail or just blow out of the dashboard without any notice. *tr

I am from california and was driving in glendale, arizona at 1:00 a.m. on 06/30/12. the signal i came to was flashing red. cross traffic had flashing yellow light. assuming the cross traffic also had a red flashing light (as in california) i proceeded through the intersection. i was t-boned by a large delivery truck. the side/curtain airbag did not deploy!! i sustained numerous injuries for which i was hospitalized for 9 days. no one was in the car with me, thank god! a few days after the accident, i spoke with the officer that arrived at the scene. he told me that when he saw the amount of damage to my car, he thought he would be calling the fatal team. ford motor company needs to do a recall on, not only the fusion models, but on all of their cars. i do not trust ford and will never own one again. i have contacted ford regarding this issue and also an attorney, but i hate to think of all the other drivers out there who assume the airbags work in their cars when possibly they are defective. the number of cases i've read about since my accident shocks me. ford should have done everything they could after the first incident. be careful driving your vehicles...especially if it's a ford. get your airbags checked asap!!!! *tr

Customer feels that the seat belts and the side air bags are a hazard and are not safe in a rollover**cc the consumer stated the seatbelts are not safe in a rollover due to the incorrect assumption that the roof will remain intact. the consumer also stated the air bags are not helpful because occupants may have their heads thrown against the side windows by a previous maneuver or impact, before a side impact, only to have their necks broken by an inflating air bag. the head restraints have supports that are too weak to prevent injury in a severe rear impact. *jb
