| The youtube video ford fusion door latch problem by oldfredsshed 3:22 minutes describes the problem exacty i'm having with my inner doors latches on my 2008 ford fusion. the doors handles are breaking and i think this is a design flaw. i googled the problem i'm having with my door handles and many people are having this same problem. i have contacted the ford motor company and they say this is not a recall or warranty problem. citrus ford wants me to pay $265 just to replace one handle and i think this should have been a recall item. this is a safety issue. in an emergency and you can't open the door and with power windows and no power this could be a matter of life and death. | |||

| When opening the driver side door, a small piece inside broke off. the door could no longer be opened from the inside. the door knob had to be replaced. when i bought the replacement part, the ford dealer said that he sees this problem a lot with fusions. | |||

| Upon exiting my car there was a crack in the door handle. the door was unable to lock and unlock, and sometime very difficult to get in and out of the car, this is a safety issue. i took it to the dealer and i was informed the door cable broke. this should be investigated as a defected part. i was telling some other about it and they told me the knew other ford owners who had the same problem with their fairly new car. | |||

| I was a passenger in a vehicle owned by son and daughter-in-law. my daughter in law was driving. we were travelling west on i-86 in painted post ny between exit 44 & 43 when an 18 wheeler came up behind us approaching very fast. all traffic had to merge to one lane so he could not get around us. he followed very close through the construction zone. once through the construction my daughter in law pulled into the left lane to pass another vehicle. the 18 wheeler pulled into that lane behind us and followed so close that at one point i thought he was going to hit us. my daughter in law commented that she was going 70 mph and he still remained right on her tail. i turned around a few times to see how close he was and try to get his plate number. he was making gestures and appeared very agitated. i got his plate number an dialed 911 on my cell phone. i believe he saw me on the phone because he immediately backed off. while i was on the phone, we got off the highway at exit 41 in campbell ny. i did not speak to an officer at that time because we figured the truck would be long gone by the time anything could be done. this incident upset both me and my daughter in law particularly since my 15 month old grandchild was in the back seat. the trucker's driving appeared to be aggressive and seemed like he was trying to intimidate us. his license plate was a michigan plate - number ra51963. this occurred around 8:30pm. i placed the call at 8:34pm. | |||

| Drivers interior door handle broke. there wasnt any warning, it just no longer worked. in order to open the door, the lock release has to be pulled. when researching the repair, i found mutiple links regarding the repair with numerous moments of defect. anywhere from 10,000 to 80,000 miles for points of failure. one person even explained that now he can replace his door handle in less than 30...since he has done it so many times. most recently the ford f 150 had a recall...for broken interio605-r handles. | |||

| On a 2008 ford fusion se 4 cylinder i have had to replace the right rear brakes twice before 50,000 miles. it appears the calipers are sticking. i even spoke with ford mechanics that say this is a problem but no recall has been filed. i looked on line and seems to be well known, but nothing has been done. | |||
