2010 ford fusion sel. customer writes in regards to continued transmission problems.*smd the consumer stated the transmission would slip harshly and hesitate on acceleration. the recall repair did not correct the transmission problems. it was determined that the valve body and solenoid body were defective. also, one of the tires was leaking air, there was an issue with the traction and brakes. there were noises coming from the front of the vehicle. the steering wheel would not lock into place, the cd player did not work at times, the driver side visor did not stay in place, the gas over flow tube was inoperative, the vehicle would pull hard when the brake was applied. the rear driver's side door had to be slammed extremely hard, in order to close it. the driver's side seat belt was backwards. the passenger side windshield wiper dragged on the windshield and the vehicle would sometimes surge on its own. each time the consumer went to the dealer about certain problems, she was told no problems were found.

In cold/inclement weather, the wipers will not stay defrosted and will freeze to the windshield & not come on, or will not clean the windshield for enough visibility to see the road while driving which can cause a crash. this is due to the fact that the wipers sit too far below the defroster vents on the car. i let my car warm up for 15 mins on dec 12th and made sure they were clean before i got on the parkway. after being on the road 20 minutes & leaving my defroster on high, i turned my wipers on to clear the dirty water/slush thrown on my car by 18 wheelers. the wipers stuck again, and i ran off the side of the road by looking out the side windows to prevent an accident. i had to pry the wipers off the windshield because they had froze again. this is the third time this has happened to me. the other two times were in 2010. i couldn't remember the first two dates, so i used the most current as the info above including mileage. i try to avoid driving my car during freezing moist conditions because i'm scared i will wreck. i notified ford a few days ago and they are looking into the situation, but they told me there has not been a recall. i shouldn't be scared to drive my car!

While driving our brand new ford fusion sedan se on the freeway around 2pm. i was far away from cars and i don't drive near semi's or dump trucks i heard a noise in the windshield frame on the passenger side mid way up and then a horizontal crack approx 14 inches appeared. i got off the next exit and called our dealer immediately and they said bring into service dept 7am next morning. the service dept looked at windshield and frame and stated it was a microscopic chip. we had to pay almost $400 for a new windshield and we still think it was a defective windshield. it was at approx 1,000 miles. it's interesting and concerning a friend of ours bought a ford fusion s at the same dealer over a month ago and after 2 weeks his windshield did the same thing. we'd appreciate you checking into this. i spoke with the business manager at the dealer the day it happened and he said maybe it's the heat. i had 2 of the windows down partially in the back. where's the quality checks they make. thank you. *tr

My 2010 ford fusion has a power sunroof and one day, when i tried to close the sunroof, it would not close all the way. after inspection, i verified that a piece of plastic had broken off the sunroof rail that is critical to pushing down the automatic wind deflector. the wind deflector stays up and the sunroof runs into it directly, preventing it from closing properly. after detailed inspection, there are several cracks in the roof rail plastic and must be replaced entirely. this repair will cost more than $1,000 and i have not even reached 70,000 miles yet. i also hardly ever use the sunroof. *tr
