| Defect Summary | Vehicle description: passenger vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. if a vehicle is parked with the parking brake not fully applied and not in first gear, as directed in the owner guide, and the self adjustment pawl subsequently skips one or two teeth, the vehicle could move on some grades. | |||||||||||||||

| Recall 00 v 349 000/parking brake pawl: dealer dick milham, eastern, pa, phone# 610/253-9191took from 16 aug 01 to above incident date to complete recall repairs. *ak consumer states that after parking brake control assembly was installed, the parking brakes failed. vehicle pulls right and weaves from side to side, there is a vibration felt underneath the driver seat at all speeds, on one occasion while driving in the rain, consumer loss control of the vehicle, dealer rebalanced all ires and realigned front, steering wheel was off center. *slc | |||
