This year model is a lemon. ford knows this. i have had two recalls on car. i had to replace my head gaskets which cost me around 1,000 dollars. it took ford months to refund my money . i bought the car knew it had a chip in the hood. when the dealer repaired it they left tape under the hood. i didn't now about the tape until i tried to trade my car in and they found the tape. the dealer told me he felt the car had been wreck and repaired. well there goes the trade in value of my car. i called and e-mailed ford about all of these problems and all i get is i am sorry that you have had such a bad experience with ford. we hope in the future you have a better one..i will never buy another ford car. every car they build has major problems. they take your money and in return you get a piece of junk.*ak

My son was driving on 410 highway when the hood of his 1995 mustang separated and flew off onto the highway, i thank god he was not hurt nor anyone else. we learned about the hood separation when a friend told us about the recall and we called jennings anderson ford, they said to bring it and they would replace the hood. my husband recently passed away and we were on our way out of town when the dealer said they would not fix the hood recall because the car had been repaired in an auto accident, the accident did not affect the hood what so ever, please help, thank you. *ak

My name is james. i am writing on behalf of my wife. there was no failure of equipement. my complaint is that your records show a recall for my 95 mustang concerning the hood. the recall was initiated in 1997. i purchased this vehicle from a ford dealership in march of 1998. at the time of purchase, we knew of the recall from a friend with the same make and model. we specifically asked if it was taken care of. the salesman did an inquiry and we were shown a printout which confirmed that our vin# did not have any recalls. 6 months later(sept), we received a recall notice for the item we specifically addressed. the top of the hood separating from the body of the vehicle could be fatal. fortunately, my wife and i are good drivers. i cannot begin to tell you how angry i am. other manufacturers make national media announcements, and ford didn't even let their own dealership know of this life threatening issue. your web page information indicates the entire year was recalled. to me, this means there were no exempt vin#'s! i have called ford twice. they said to call your offices. i hope there are no fatalities caused by their obvious lack of urgency. 2000 characters is not enough. i will also call. thank you, james a. jensen jr.
