Dt*: the contact stated while driving 30 mph on normal road conditions, the left rear tire came off the rim. there was no warning signals prior to the failure. the vehicle was taken to the tire dealer who did not recognize any warranty on the tire, which had only 16000 miles. a new tire was mounted on the rim and did not present any problem. the tire brand was big o and there was no dot number on it. size: 245/45h17.
Front tires are warped on outside and cause vehicle to vibrate at speeds of 30mph and higher. dealer has aligned vehicle three times, and problem has not been corrected. please provide additional information. *ak

The kuhmo ecsta supra 712 was a replacement set of tires on my l999 mustang gt convertible. the tire is designed to displace water through a large, lateral center channel. from reading descriptions of the tire, this tire design is intended to provide a high level of hydroplaning resistance. as an automotive association executive director with many, many years of operating high performance vehicles, i am truly concerned about this particular design. the tire seems to have signifcant lateral gripping capability both in wet and dry conditions. however, the deep, lateral center channel seems to make this tire unsafe for anything other than a perfectly smooth highway. this groove grabs any perfections in the roadway that are parallel to the actual road surface and will actually snatch the steering wheel from the grip of the driver. anything in the roadway such as overpavings which create parallel ridges, heavy truck traffic lane depressions in the road surface will do likewise. while not a design engineer, it appears that this groove down the center mimics a train wheel on the track. the train can only follow the track due to the track inself being inserted into the train wheel. any imperfection in the roadway that is parallel to the direction of the highway and the rotation of the tire creates a remarkably similar sensation. while i have not had an accident, i have nearly lost control of the vehicle on four occasions when the groove gripped any of the aforementioned road imperfections. i am 53 years old, a graduate of numerous decision driving and performance driving schools and am not an amateur in the realm of vehicle operations and dynamics. in all candor, these tires are scary and i will not let my teen daughter drive the car with the new tires.*ak (tiresize: 245/45z/17)( dot number: tire size: 245/45z/17 )

Consumer believes the original tires on the vehicle (no make/model provided) slide more than they should in the rain, the consumer has tried to stop at an intersection and slid into the middle before stopping due to the tires poor performance. *mjs

TIRES - SIDEWALL

My wife and granddaughter where driving home when the front right side tire side wall failed at 50mph and the tire departed the cars rim. luckily my wife was able to maintain control of the car and was traveling at a safe speed and was able to stop the car on the rim only safely. i check tire pressure and maintain it to car and tire manufactures specifications on our ford mustang since it is a high performance tire and car. i 'am extremely upset at bridgestone as this tire should not have failed and compromised the safety of my wife and grandchild. *tr

TIRES - TREAD/BELT

While driving on i-75 the vehicle began to shake. i drove the the nearest gas station to check out the tires and inflation thinking the tires must be low. upon inspection, nothing semed to be wrong and thought i lost a weight or something. i proceeded back to the interstate. 10 minutes later the tire separated while i was going 70 mph. i maintained control and now one was injured. the tire is a cooper response rst touring 2000.
