| Tl- the contact owns a 2000 ford mustang. the contact stated that the abs module malfunctioned, causing the abs braking system to improperly activate. the contact stated that the abs warning light was also illuminated. in addition, the traction control malfunctioned. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer but the dealer could not remedy the problem. the dealer advised that the abs module needed to be replaced. the contact stated that the abs module for the particular year, make and model was no longer being manufactured and an aftermarket part was not available. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 90,000. kmj | |||

| I 'm having problems with the brakes of my mustang gt 2000. this car has only 13500 driving miles and for three occasions i had been with the brakes because its has the sticking problems (front left side and rear right side). eventually the pads and calipers turned hot and brakes do not stop the car. the last time of this event the car was on an accidents and we went down on a hill and my car broke down the front part. i was reading in internet many people are having the same problems with mustang from 99-04. *tr | |||

| Vehicle will intermittently stall when i am attempting to come to a stop. when this happens i lose my power brakes and this has caused me to have to swerve to avoid hitting the car in front of me. this has happened at least 6 times. dealer replaced fuel pump the first time. the second time the idle air control valve. and third the same iac valve. it will still stall. i believe this to be a serious safety issue and am filing the lemon law.*ak | |||

| Seat belt retractor on the driver's seat was not working properly. seat would lock up while consumer was driving, at times consumer could not wear the seat belt at all. contacted dealer. *ak the seat belt locks up and strangles consumer. consumer has a doctors note, so he doesn't have to wear the seat belt. this vehicle came equipped with a non working emergency brake that does not hold the vehicle. consumers vehicle needs new rotors. *jg | |||

| Master cylinder problems. was replaced/repaired by dealership and returned. brake still makes funny noise and is still mushy when applied. fuel injection has be repaired 4 going on 5 times now. engine makes a pinging/diesel sound when driven at constant rate of speed. sometimes at 30 mph, sometimes at highway speeds. sensors have been replaced, injectors have been replaced and still not fixed. at idle/stop car jumps forward without accelorator applied. | |||

| Car since new has had a multitude of failures to include the total failure of the parking brake, total evacuation of the master brake cylinder of fluid, brake go to the floor, clutch assembly vibrates to the point it is audable in the car and can be felt in the controls, rear end claunks, the body is miss alligned, engine misses at idle, these are all problems since new, ford has just looked at the car for the fifth time and has failed to respond to major safety items. | |||
