The engine on my 2007 ford mustang was revving high when i started the vehicle. when i put it into drive, the vehicle took off on me hitting another vehicle and crashing through a wall accross from the spot i was parked in. this unintended acceleration has not happened prior to this incident but the vehicle only had 5,075 miles on it.

2007 ford mustang will not fill up past 1/2 tank of fuel, the dealer states there is nothing wrong with the car and to take it to a different station. i've been to stations all over the west and rarely find one that will let me fill up even when running the pump at minimum while not fully engaging the pump into the filler. i've noticed that no pumps that have vapor recovery boots will fill the car up beyond 1/3 tank. which pretty much rules out taking the car to california for any reason. there is obviously a major defect here that should be recalled!

I own a 2007 mustang and everytime i fuel up, it only allowed me to put 1/2 to 2/4 tank full and they is shuts off the gas pump. i have take the car to my local dealer and they told me they could not find anything wrong with it and to advised to try different gas stations. this is a continuing problem since i purchased the car new in dec of 2007. *tr

Fuel filling is awkward to say the least! i can only fill to just over half a tank of fuel then the clicker forces me to stop. the owners website claim this is a common problem for 2007 mustangs and that we should try another gas station with a less sensitive filler or turn the nozzle to the 2 o clock position. turning the nozzle does work from time to time but the problem still remains. why aren't the dealers acknowledging this is a problem a provide a suitable solution? this won't do much for marketing or future sales if this is left! *tr

I have a 2007 ford mustang 4.0 v6 with approximately 42k miles. it has recently developed a very serious safety-related defect which the ford dealership has refused to investigate. for no apparent reason, while stopped in traffic and with my foot firmly on the break pedal,, the engine will suddenly go full throttle. this forces the car to suddenly lunge forward as the rear tires start spinning, overriding the front breaks. this has caused me to come dangerously close to colliding with the vehicle in front of me or entering an intersection into oncoming traffic. the only recourse is to quickly turn off the ignition which seems to reset the problem. this happens with some regularity, approximately 2 to 3 times a day but is not reproducible on demand. the ford dealership has offered to investigate, at my expense, but with no assurance that this problem would be corrected. i have had to alter the way that i drive to compensate for this by leaving additional space between my car and the one in front of me and at intersections. i fear that i may not be able to prevent my vehicle from becoming involved in an accident because of this defect. *tr

Having problems trying to gas up my 2007 mustang at least every 3rd or 4th fillup. no matter how much gas in the tank the pump clicks like when full but in fact is only half full. when tank is half full it clicks at 3/4 full. tried every other means to fill but nothing works. phoned my dealer, (violette motors in edmundston, nb. canada) told me he never had any complaints on this subject. i told him to look at his tsb,s and he would surely see there are problems. he told me that his instructions were to tell me to gas up elsewhere. *tr

There is a considerable amount of pressure build up in fuel tank when filling. seems to happen more often during extreme temperatures (i.e. summer heat, extreme cold). it takes three times as long to fill due to the fact that i can barely pull the trigger if i want the car to accept gas. *tr

2007 ford mustang: i have had many problems while trying to fill tank with fuel. happens more than not. while filling up pump clicks of like tank is full, however it is not. can try several pumps at same gas station and keeps clicking off. then just drive a short ways up the road and put another 5 gallons in. just one example. after a few trips to the dealer, problem still occurs. *jb

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. the contact stated that he could only pump six gallons of gas into the vehicle. the pump handle suddenly stopped pumping gas and there was no overflow, warning indicators, or noises. the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was half full. the vehicle was taken to a dealer and they stated that there was a technical service bulletin for the 2005 model that was related to nhtsa campaign id number 10014651 (fuel system, other). the dealer could not repair the failure and stated that the gas tank had two parts and was not transferring the gas to the second tank. no repairs were made. the current mileage was 3,065 and failure mileage was 2,500. updated 3/4/08 *cn

I purchased my 2007 ford mustang gt in august of 2007. it was a floor model that the dealer had done modifications to. on 24 jan 08 i went to fill top-off the fuel which was below 3/4 of tank. after only getting about 1.87 gallons in, the pump clicked off. i tried to pump more gas into the tank and was surprised when it started to overflow. (after starting the car back up, the fuel gauge was still in the same spot before i started fueling) i also noticed that in the recent weeks my passenger airbag light does not read it is in the off position when no passenger is present, even though it did read this before. i have since contacted my dealership and am bringing the car in to have them check these problems as well as others i am concerned with after reading the forums. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. while fueling the vehicle, the tank only fills up halfway. the contact noticed this when the vehicle would only accept $10 worth of gas, which is equal to a half tank. he took the vehicle back to the dealer and they stated that they could find no failure and nothing could be done. the dealer informed him of the possibility of pressure build up and an explosion. ford motor company informed him that he was stuck with the vehicle until they could find a remedy. he was advised to continue fueling the vehicle as needed. the current mileage was 3,907 and failure mileage was 3,000. updated 03-11-08 *bf updated 03/11/08 *tr

Since i bought my car about 3 to 4 months ago, i have had my car into the ford dealership 4 times, to have the engine light checked. it came on the 1st time the day after i bought it, and has come on 3 times since at random times. the ford service dept. has put it through the machines they have, and have not been able to find the very small evaporatve leak they say it has, they have contacted ford motor company and all they can say is the system is too sensitive for some reason and until they can find a fix for it, if they can i will just have to keep bringing it in every time it comes on and have them run it through the machine and turn the light off. *tr

I had the same complaint about gas fill-up. i live near the beach and i noticed something rather strange about the wind off the coastline. if the car was facing east , it filled just fine but when facing west it would not fill. the dealer was stumped. it appears that the breeze/wind causes the fumes to trap and the car thinks it's full already . . . it's hard to believe but no problem anymore filling the tank - just keep the car facing the wind!! *tr
