I drive a 2007 mustang, manual transmission. in 2008, the emergency brake seemed to not be releasing all the way. i could tell this because a) my vehicle would slow down more quickly than before, b) on a slight grade, my vehicle would remain in place. this issue occured after normal use of e-brake not but 10 months after the brand new purchase from darcars in lanham, md. i took the vehicle in to lindsey ford in wheaton, md (around the same time the air bag module recall was issued...) and the representative told me that they could not verify my concerns at this time. having replaced the air bag module free of charge, i was idiotically appeased with just that and didn't press the e-brake issue futher. coincidentally, as i was leaving their lot, i went over a speed bump which seemed to release the brake enough to not cause any noticable brake tension while driving. needless to say, from that point on i was reluctant to use the emergency parking brake and alway kept my vehicle in gear when parked. just recently, i had another issue with the clutch pedal-- gradually sinking to the floor (which i was told was an issue with the clutch slave), and again i went to lindsey to see if they could help. this time around, they notice that the e-brake is very much stuck, and suggested i replace the brake cable. $500.00 i do not have. they wont even bother to look at the clutch slave until the brake cables have been replaced.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. the contact was driving approximately 3 mph in a drive thru lane. the brake pedal traveled to the floor without resistance when pressure was applied. the driver pumped the brakes numerous times. the gear selector was placed into neutral; then shifted into the park position. immediately, the vehicle came to a complete stop. the vehicle resumed with the loss of brake power. the emergency brake was engaged while pumping the brake pedal, followed by a power response. the vehicle was able to continue in normal operation to the residence. the vehicle has not been driven due to the potential safety hazard. the authorized dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. the vehicle has not bee repaired for the malfunction. the failure mileage was 15,300. the vin was unavailable js

2007 mustang gt throttle stuck which resulted in an increase of speed with no brakes available to me except the emergency brake. i have a 5 speed manual transmission i was able to push in the clutch but my brake did not work nor was i able to take it out of gear. i pulled the emergency brake at the increasing rate of speed of 50 mph, which the car did stop but was still tacked out at 7000 to 8000 rpm with sudden deceleration. ford was contacted but due to ford not able to duplicate the problem they want to return the car to me not repaired. i feel as though not only is my life in danger but also my young daughters or anyone on the road. i am scared of this car!!!!! *tr

2007 ford mustang gt has intermittent braking problems, it pulled hard right/left. i have been to the dealership where i purchased the vehicle twice, the first time they felt it and cut the rotors. the second time they said they could not duplicate problem. i went to another dealership, who determined this car should go to engineering ,and probably should be bought back. at the time the service manager drove it the vehicle was all over the road. i contacted ford customer service on several occasions, most recent on 06/15/07, and they were supposed to contact me, nothing done as of yet. i am still driving this car and it is not safe. i had no choice, it was my everyday vehicle. i told ford they should get me a car to drive, but no response. *ak

Tl*- the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang purchased on october 4, 2006 with 0 miles. the contact stated that on february 28, 2007 while driving 15 to 20 mph under clear road conditions and moderate to heavy traffic on piedmont rd in atlanta ga the vehicle's front wheels evenly went over a rock or bump on the road. the contact felt the car went up evenly on both front wheels while passing the bump. he drove a few yards and tried to apply the brakes, , but could not stop the vehicle. the contact had to lift the emergency brake to stop the car and avoid striking a second vehicle that had stopped at a traffic signal. there were no warning lights. after coming to a full stop the contact slowly pulled into a gas station and parked the vehicle. there was fluid leaking from the front driver's side tire towards the middle of the engine. the failure and current mileage were both 2018.*ak
