| I was approaching a stop light with 3 vehicles ahead of me. i had slowed down almost to a complete stop when all of a sudden the engine roared and the car lurched forward into the back of the pickup in front of me. i had the brake completely to the floor and then my rear wheels begin spinning with the motor still roaring. i was finally able to put the (automatic transmission) car in park as it seemed to be stuck when i first tried to get it out of gear and still the motor was revving up and still lurching forward and turned the key off and it shut down. my front bumper was damaged in the accident. no warning lights were showing on the instrument panel. mechanic stated nothing picked up diagnostically in order to pinpoint the problem although the assumption was it was either the tps or possibly a vacuum leak. i have thoroughly enjoyed this car and prior to this have not had any problems with it, but now i am afraid to drive it. | |||
